![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure what exactly a 1st gen MBP M1 is, but LrC v11 runs just fine on my MBP M1 Max 16". I will be very happy to learn about it, so I can start to go back to easy and efficient tethering, like in days of old. ![]() Has anyone out there now been able to run their R5 tethered to a first gen M1 Macbook Pro (16GB memory, 512GB SSD), using only the most current version of Lightroom Classic, with no special work arounds - just using the Adobe software and without additional Canon software - just like I used to be able to do it with my older Canon cameras and Intel Macs? But it still doesn't answer my one most important question. I know that now Lightroom Classic and Photoshop are supposed to run natively on the M1's. It had its own problems with Adobe products, as it had to run on Rosetta, rather than natively. I've also traded in my older Intel Mac and bought a first gen M1 13.3 inch Macbook Pro last year. Since then, I've just arranged to not shoot tethered on any job that I did, despite the inconvenience. I know there was a very complicated work-around, but I don't like "very complicated" on a job I like simple instead, because I've got a lot of other stuff to deal with. I tired to tether my R5 with Lightroom Classic to my old Intel Macbook Pro when I first got the R5 and gave up in despair. I've waited some time for the "smoke to clear" regarding tethering with my current gear set. ![]()
